For over 15 years, I've worked in fashion—designing products, sourcing materials, understanding trends, and observing the industry evolve. Throughout this journey, one thing became increasingly clear: while fashion often talks about women, it rarely addresses the needs of women like us.
Women who have built careers, raised families, navigated life’s transitions, and evolved into more confident versions of themselves. As I entered this stage of life, I began to notice a common experience among many women. The fashion apparel that once worked no longer felt quite right. Trends seemed less relevant, and shopping became more frustrating—not because we had lost our sense of style, but because our needs, priorities, and bodies had evolved.
Yet the conversation around fashion remained focused on younger audiences. What was missing wasn't another brand dictating what mature women should wear. What was missing was a space where women could share experiences, learn from one another, ask questions without judgment, and feel seen.
The Second Skin Circle was born from that realization. It is more than just a fashion community; it is a place for conversations about confidence, style after 40, wellness, self-expression, and the realities of midlife fashion. Here, women can connect through shared experiences and discover they are not alone in the challenges they face.
The name "Second Skin" reflects my belief that the right clothing should feel like an extension of who you are. It should support your life, reflect your identity, and embody comfort meets style—making you feel comfortable in your own skin, rather than asking you to become someone else.
